YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Mascara Review

*Hello everyone! I am here to show you this luxurious mascara by YSL that I was sent to try out from Influenster. First of all, I have to admit how shocked and excited I was when I got chosen for this VoxBox. YSL VOXBOX? Come on!!! I couldn't believe my eyeballs when I first heard it even existed. Then I was a lucky gal to be receiving this awesome box. Anywho, on to the juicy details...

So this mascara being one of their best sellers was reformulated with Lash Care and supposed to not dry out. (Assuming that was a common issue before?) It provides "Intense Volume, Intense Color, and Intense Care". B5 Pro-Vitamin ingredient helps strengthen and protects your lashes. Comes in 6 signature shades: High Density Black, Rich Brown, Extreme Blue, Fascinating Violet, Burgundy and Deep Night. I am all about strengthening and lash care because over time my lashes has gone through some ugly days. Gotta give them love too.



Below I posted a photo of my eyes, before and after with this product. I applied just one coat top and bottom. Definitely gives a lot of volume and drama to the lashes. You can feel the conditioning of the lashes every time you brush it across. Felt quite amazing and the smell... oh YSL you never fail on your scents! Only downfall for me was the curling power. Not surprised that it did not hold my curl. Usually I have to use a waterproof formula in order for my curls to hold up all day. Luckily, this mascara does come in a waterproof formula so I think I am in luck! Other than that, I am very impressed and content with the application this mascara provided.

♡ Overall: This holiday palette is great for anyone who likes simple choices for an easy day to night makeup look. There was some fall out since the shades were mostly all shimmery. Pigmentation wasn't my favorite but with a primer underneath, I think it will definitely apply smoothly. Very impressed by the blusher shade. Definitely my type of color and very pigmented. The slim sized packaging makes it fit perfectly into a travel makeup bag. $25 for 4 full sized shadows and a blush shade won't break your wallet. Great gift idea for any makeup/beauty lovers out there!

★ OVERALL: Really enjoy using this product on a daily basis. It couldn't be more perfect for busy women on the go. Great multi-tasking cream that reduces the amount of beauty and skin care products required during a daily beauty regimen. Perfect for anyone that needs an oil-free fresh mattifying finish. I love applying this before I hit the gym for a even skin tone look without the heavy feel of a foundation. Feels amazing on the skin and highly recommend this to women of all ages. Only thing is the lighter coverage of the item. Can't expect this product to conceal and hide all imperfections and blemishes. I do have hyper pigmentation, dark circles, and slight acne scars. Those are still visible after applying this product so I do recommend concealing if needed. Other than that, it's a wonderful product and I do believe this is probably one of my fav BB's out of any Western brand available so far. ❤ OVERALL: As I mentioned in the previous PINKS/CORALS review, these are definitely one of my favorite drugstore lipsticks so far. The color pay off is just out of this world. You would not believe it was only $5.49! The reds are absolutely gorgeous! Although most of the colors seem very similar, they are uniquely different and beautiful in their own way. My favorite out of this collection has to be #04 High Voltage. Looking for a sexy red lippie? I highly recommend these!

So... who's all excited for this box? *Raising Hands* I actually am! Very impressed with the selection of products in this WISHBOX. Ton of great brands and products that are perfect for everyday use. Love that MUSTAEV is included in this because it is a well known professional makeup brand. I have not tried their lip glosses just yet but a huge fan of their makeup brushes. Really interested in trying out the LIZ K makeup remover wipes as well. Anything that removes waterproof makeup is a plus for me!

There is a total of 7 products included in this box, 5 full sized and 2 deluxe sized samples. The retail value of this would have been $43.76 but of course it has been discounted to a total of $29.99. Hooray for discounts! (The frugal side of me is coming out) hehe

♡ Overall: I think this palette is perfect for beginner levels that are just starting out with makeup. Not the best quality when compared to high end makeup but not too bad for a mineral makeup. I'd suggest applying with a sponge applicator or fingers to get the best pigmentation. The glitter wasn't too bad and great for fun, party makeup looks. They offer great discounts for buying in bulk. I believe this brand caters to lot of dancers, cheerleader teams, and etc. Check out the rest of their selections on their website.

★ OVERALL: Very impressed with this collection. This wouldn't be your everyday lipstick color but definitely something to wear on a night out. It's extremely pigmented and smooth on the lips. One swipe and it's fully covered. Only picked up two shades for now to review them but after trying it out, I am going to grab a few more shades! Only issue is to decide which colors to get...isn't that always the issue? Luckily these are in the permanent line and not limited edition. You have plenty of time to grab them! Nobody would believe you're wearing a drugstore lipstick. Hey MAC... you're not that special anymore! ha ha
